In a city where everyone is afraid that they will no longer be able to pay their rents. It doesn't matter whether you are still at work and bringing money home or you are about to retire. Regardless of whether privately or as a trader and completely independent of any pandemic. Nevertheless, Berliners enjoy life in their neighborhood, on playgrounds, at the snack bar, on park benches and in their homes. Carefree "Berlin culture" has not existed here for a long time. Constant change is not only displacing affordable urban space, it is also covering up these fears.
I cannot prove it, I can only observe it. What I've done with this series of photos over the past few years. The real dreariness is not black and white.
